  • Storyline Online - Short stories read aloud and recorded on video.

  • Into the Book - Comprehension strategies for primary school readers - games encourage children to evaluate.

  • Book Creator - Super simple website that allows simple books to be created. Also available as app.

  • Storyberries - Another great resource to stimulate reading - many 5 minute stories - great for break.

  • Oxford Owl - Oxford Reading Tree books and much more - many free resources - need to sign up. .

  • Seomra Ranga - as you would imagine, directly relates to Irish curriculum - very useful.

  • Sight Words - a great resource for creating word lists and flashcards. 

  • Weebly - full list of interactive Language resources and websites to support SEN (and mainstream) 

  • Topmarks - very useful for SEN and junior classes.

  • SEN Teacher - a super website for creating resources for SEN pupils on time and money in particular. 

  • Instant Display - A great resource for banners, posters, projects etc. Ready to print. 

  • SESS - super website with loads of resources particularly for pupils with SEN - great worksheets. 

  • Twinkl - A fantastic website for SNAs to create flashcards, banners and buckets of resources -  cost €43 per year - can't print otherwise.

  • Highlights for Kids - great website with difficult, challenging puzzles and more to improve concentration and attention span. 

  • The Teacher's Corner - a super website for creating resources, word-puzzles, scrambled words and much more. (SEN)

  • The Literacy Shed - all genre writing, oral language and lesson plans.

  • Starfall -  Very popular early reading website - very colourful and well thought out. 

  • European Centre for Modern Languages  - Inventory of ICT tools and open educational resources - Resource Page -  Super one stop shop for all quality free educational resources - apps and programs.

  • Boardmaker Online - Sign up for a free trial of Boardmaker - 30 day trial.

  • Newsela - short news stories with changeable amounts of text.  (SEN with use of Select and Speak)

  • Teach Your Monster to Read - brilliant set of simple engaging games for phonics and more...

  • Blockly - a brilliant website to introduce Scratch in 10 super puzzles.

  • SESS - Assistive Technology Tips on SESS website

  • Dyslexia Project - A Microsoft/Virgin funded project led by Richard Branson to raise awareness of dyslexia

  • Jigsaw Game - chance to develop patience, pieces can only join up with correct pieces. 

  • Classroom Screen - very handy utility for classroom management, traffic lights, timer, exit poll and much more...deserves a look and it's free.
